About Synthetic Bag & Pocket Filters

392x592mm (16×24″) Synthetic Bag Filter, manufactured in our Dorset, UK factory for use in HVAC systems where filters with a high dust holding capacity, low-pressure drop and long service life is required. Ideal for use as a medium to high-efficiency final filter or as a prefilter to high-grade filters such as our HEPA filters.

Characteristics Synthetic Bag Filters:

• Ultrasonically welded synthetic melt-blown fibre
• Fire testing according to DIN 53438-3 (F1)
• Humidity resistant up to 100% RH
• Temperature resistant up to max. 80°C
• Corrosion-resistant galvanized metal header

Applications For Synthetic Bag Filters:

• Air conditioning and other HVAC applications for offices, hospitals, computer centres, laboratories, supermarkets & more
• Pharmaceutical and food manufacturing, airports & general industry
• Pre-filtration (e.g. for HEPA filters)

Media Grade:

• M5 55% = White or tan, Initial resistance of 58Pa at rated airflow
• M6 65% = Green, Initial resistance of 65Pa at rated airflow
• F7 85% = Pink, Initial resistance of 80Pa at rated airflow
• F8 95% = Yellow, Initial resistance of 130Pa at rated airflow
• F9 >95% = White, Initial resistance of 168Pa at rated airflow

Final Recommended Pressure Drop: 3 times initial pressure drop or +100Pa, whichever is lowest.

Header Depth:

Header depth refers to the depth of the metal frame at the face of the filter. It is crucial for this measurement to be accurate to ensure a proper fit and maintain a tight air seal.

Pocket Depth & Pocket Number with recommended Airflow:

The pocket depth refers to the length of the individual pockets in the filter, with standard depths of 300, 380, 500, and 600mm.
The pocket number is the total count of individual pockets per filter, typically 6, 8, or 10 for a filter of this size.
The recommended airflow is the maximum volume of air per hour advised for each size.

• 380mm (15″) 6 pockets at 1473m³hr, 8 pockets at 1964m³hr and 10 pockets at 2811m³hr
• 500mm (20″) 6 pockets at 1636m³hr, 8 pockets at 2181m³hr and 10 pockets at 2926m³hr
• 600mm (24″) 6 pockets at 1964m³hr, 8 pockets at 2618m³hr and 10 pockets at 3273m³hr
